**Obituary for Joseph Floyd Choban** It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Floyd Choban, who departed this life on November 8, 2025, at the age of 76 in Moore Haven, Florida. Born on September 7, 1949, in Akron, Ohio, Joseph was renowned for his kind, generous spirit and unwavering loyalty to family and friends, traits that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Joseph led a fulfilling life as a dedicated auto mechanic, where his ambition and skill earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His commitment to excellence was evident in both his work and his relationships, as he strived to provide the best for those around him. In his spare time he loved to hunt and fish, over the years his hunting passion turned him into an avid Turkey hunter. He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Joyce Ward Choban; their son, Joseph Choban (Katy), of LaBelle; his daughter, Niki Brown (Jamie) of Moore Haven; and his daughter, Kari West (Chris) of Moore Haven. Joseph was also a cherished brother to Jim Choban (Cathy) of West Palm Beach, Linda Carter of Conroe, Texas, Mary Carter (Keith) of West Palm Beach, and Rose Hertel of West Palm Beach. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Shelbi Brown, Tayler Baxter, Kortney Ivanenko, Reygen Beck, Albrey West, Bradyn West, and Juliah West, as well as his great-grandchildren, Waylon Baxter, Whitley Joe Beck, River Beck, Loretta Baxter, and Eli Beck. He was proceeded in death by his father Joseph Choban, mother Evelyn Choban, sister Jeanette, and brother Bill. There are additional family members and friends who will mourn his passing and miss him tremendously. A graveside service will be celebrated in Joseph's memory on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pavilion of Ortona Cemetery. Pastor Earl Cline will officiate the ceremony, which will also include military honors by the United States Army, in recognition of his service to our country. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Joseph's memory. As we remember Joseph Floyd Choban, we honor a life marked by kindness, generosity, and an enduring spirit that touched the lives of many. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
