Peter Syllvanus Choban Jr.

Peter Choban, Jr., 67, of Pasadena, Texas passed away May 12, 2023.
Pete was born in Lubbock, Texas on August 23, 1955 to Peter (Pete) Syllvanus and Margaret (Margie) June (Walkup) Choban.
He was the oldest of four boys. He went to M.C. Overton elementary and graduated from (Lubbock) Cooper High School in 1973. Pete went to Texas Tech and got his degree in Engineering Physics. Pete put himself through college while working at the U.S. Post Office on the night shift. After graduating from college, he initially went to work as a UPS driver until he was hired by Hughes Aircraft and moved to California. Having worked for several years at Hughes, he then went to work for Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA.
Pete spent over 40 years with the Aerospace Corporation. His job led him to working on satellites, training with astronauts and working with the Dept. of Defense (DoD). Along his trail, he did what he always wanted to do, and that was to fly..... and he got his private pilot's license. From Lincoln logs, to erector sets, to crystal radio sets, to flying model aircrafts, to telescopes, to building/flying giant kites and to working with astronauts and the Shuttle, he was always fascinated by space. Pete leaves many friends/colleagues behind.
Left to cherish his memory include his brother; Kelly and wife Cheryl Choban of Poolville, TX; nephew, Nick Choban of Queens, NY; and niece, Kendall (Choban) Loughrey of Poolville, TX.
Preceded in death by his parents; & brothers, Brent & Todd Choban.

Family visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Home Thursday, May 25, 2023, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2023 in Idalou Cemetery.
