Mr. Joseph Lester Clark

Joseph Lester Clark quietly and peacefully passed away Wednesday February 5, 2O25 at Royal Park of Matthews Rehabilitation and Health Center.
"Joe Les" as many knew him was born February 18, 1954 in High Point, NC. A son of the late Marvin J. Clark and Ruby L. Jacobs.
A resident of High Point, most of his life he attended his elementary schooling at Baldwin Chapel School and later attended T.W. Andrews where he played football for the Red Raiders. He was a man full of life who lived his life to the fullest!! He had an impact on everyone he met.
He was known for his outgoing personality, witty sense of humor and flirtatious ways.
In his early years Joe Les delivered groceries on a bicycle that was much larger than himself with an oversized basket.
He later went on to being called "the ice man" delivering ice to many businesses. His passion was entertainment. As an entertainer, he had a way of being flashy with his appearance winning "The Mack of Year Award". To dazzle the crowd, his imitation of Louis Armstrong and his rendition of James Brown was on point, from a smooth dancer to becoming a masterful DJ spinning the records on the turntables.
Joe Les found transformation of life while attending TROSA. He graduated recognizing and embracing his responsibilities as a son, brother, father, mentor and friend.
Joe Les is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Joan Givens, Janice Clark-Payton, Robert L. Clark, Charles W. Clark Sr.; daughter, Kim D. Hunter
Those left to cherish his memories are daughters, Tuesday Sims, of Charlotte, NC, Megan Hunter of Sumter, SC and son, Maxwell Wingate of Cheraw, SC; two sisters, Betty Martin (Lawerence) of Charlotte, NC, Vivan Thomas of High Point, NC; one brother, Julius A. Clark (Tammy) of High Point, NC; grandchildren, Karen Jones, Zhane Wail, Shania Sims, Stephen Sims Jr. Kirie Hunter, Trinity Hunter, Mackim Wingate; great-grand kid: Ava McCoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Joe Les as he was affectionately called will be forever missed and remembered by his family and friend
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Baldwin's Chapel SDA Church, 1200 Leonard Ave.
