Joseph Neal Connor
Born: March 8, 1957
Entered Eternal Life
December 16, 2024
Neal, as he was known, passed into eternal life early Monday morning, December 16th. Leaving behind his wife of 48 years, Deborah Lee Kraeski-Connor, son Jason Connor (Shelly Connor) and daughter Stephanie Freburger-Connor (Michael Freburger). He was predeceased by his daughter Kristen Inez Connor, his parents Joseph and Inez E Connor.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren Jordan Neal Connor, Michael Freburger, Thomas Freburger, Rayna Connor and soon to enter the world Reverdly Connor. His brother Drew Connor, Lyliana Connor, nephews: Nathan Connor (Naydimar Connor), Joelly Connor, Jaxson Connor; Nephew Joseph C. B. Connor, (Brittany) Ava Connor, Mila Connor, Joseph D Connor, and Noah D Connor,
During our childhood we would move around. 1960 to the Panama Canal Zone from Lima, Ohio, where we were born. In October 1963 our father was transferred to Washington, DC where he spent most of his life. First in New Carrollton where we would play basketball, kickball, learn to play musical instruments and join the Carrolltones Drum and Bugle Corps where we won a National Championship for our small horn ensemble. This is also where and when he met Debroah Lee Kraeski and fell head over heals in love.
Neal Graduated from Parkdale Senior High School in 1975 and soon married Deborah Lee Kraeski. Throughout his life he wore many hats from mowing yards, delivering newspapers, working the produce department at Cooks Supermarket, to UPS driver. He went in to sales selling Rainbow vacuums, then into the mortgage industry where he helped many families purchase their first home. With the collapse of the real estate business, he went on and started his own company, R-box streaming system.
Neal always had a smile and a joke ready for whomever he was with whether Friend, Family or foe. The number one priority was to always provide for his family regardless of the circumstances
During this time, he found Jesus Christ our Savior. A strong believer in our Lord and was certain that he would be reunited with Kristen.
Later in their lives he and Debbie moved to the west coast of Florida to enjoy the wormer weather. Once their health took a turn for the worse their daughter and son-in-law convinced them to move into their home. The basement was converted into a beautiful apartment
Since his death there have been hundreds of people reaching out to the family sharing Neal stories, which were in most cases quite funny. He touched more lives than he ever realized.
I spoke to my brother 3-4 times a week and during these times he would often say, "I am ready for when the Good Lord wants to take me away I am at Peace with that."
As you and your families gather around the dinner table during these holidays remember there will be an empty seat in Stephanies home. Say a prayer, tell one another how much you love one another and remember Neal is now in Heaven praying for us.
May the Peace of the Risen Lord be with each of you. Amen!
