Joe served honorably in the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army during the Vietnam war, receiving a Purple Heart, Silver Star, and two Bronze Stars, among other commendations. His dedication to and love of family was unmatched. He made fast friends everywhere with his signature wink and smile - the quintessential guy with whom you'd like to grab a beer.
