Joseph "Joe" DeIuliis
Originally from Pittsburgh and most recently Los Angeles, California. Father of three beautiful daughters: Sarah Grace, Victoria Elizabeth, and Elizabeth Emmeline. Fiancé of Norma Montalvo. Son of Joseph Sr. (Ellen), and the late Elizabeth "Betty" (nee McHarg). Survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Brad) Soltoff, and brother, James (Anne) DeIuliis, as well as aunts, an uncle, nieces, a nephew, and cousins.
Joe grew up in his native Brookline, where he attended Our Lady of Loreto grade school and served as an altar boy at the church. He graduated from Seton LaSalle High School, obtained his Bachelor's degree from Duquesne University, and later earned an MBA from the University of Miami. He founded Magnolia Construction with his brother, James, serving the needs of the Pittsburgh area, including road construction, development of playgrounds, and community structures, for more than 18 years. He was elected as Commissioner of Mt. Lebanon Township in 2007 and served one full term. Joe later joined DCK Worldwide as a business developer before relocating to Southern California. Most recently, he was a member of the executive management team at KCS West, an LA-based design and construction firm.
Joe had a way of lighting up a room. He was friendly, personable, and loved a good time (and a good cigar). He was also an astute and proficient problem-solver, who often helped his friends and family members fix various complex challenges. A faithful Catholic parishioner, Joe was a member of the Eucharistic ministry of the Good Shepherd Church in Beverly Hills, CA. He remained a life-long Steelers fan, often joining other Pittsburgh transplants at a sports bar in LA to cheer on his beloved team.
Joe was taken from us suddenly and much too soon, at age 58, but we are comforted knowing that he has found peace in Heaven. He will be missed by his entire family and a lifetime's worth of friends and co-workers.
