Joseph DiGirolamo

Joseph DiGirolamo passed away on January 30, 2025. Joe is survived by his loving wife Shirl and his son Tom and daughter-in-law Dawn and his 2 grandsons Alex and Nathan. He was the youngest of his brothers of which he is survived by his middle brother Anthony and his wife Eileen. Joe and Shirl moved to The Villages in 2003 after spending most of their lives in Maryland. Joe drove a tractor trailer for UPS for 30+ years where he was awarded the highest level of honor as a career safe driver with zero violations and zero accidents upon his retirement. His fellow drivers knew him by his handle, "Polar Bear". He spent his days off, weekends and countless summer vacations playing golf. He enjoyed fishing and cooking as well. He was always quick to critique the Cooking Channel followed by making a grocery list to attempt to do it better! He was no stranger to a good comfy couch or an opportunity to add a witty comment to anyone's conversation. His family loved him. His friends adored him. And he was too friendly to have made any enemies to speak of along the way! If you asked him how tough things were through life, he would respond with "No hill for a climber" and the last hole on any course was always "The One We've Been Looking For." January 30th 2025 will forever be known to those of us who knew him and loved him as the one you've been looking for Joe! We love you and we will miss you until we see you again....Tee it High and Let it Fly!!! Joseph's internment will be a private ceremony for immediate family.
