Joseph Arthur "Chubby" DiPietro, age 91, passed away on September 6, 2025, in Lumberton, NJ surrounded by his loving family.

He was born and raised in Port Richmond area of Philadelphia. Chubby was a resident of Delran, NJ and later lived in North Wildwood before moving to Lumberton, NJ with his daughter and son-in-law. Chubby was a Army Veteran. When he left the Army, he began his career in the construction business. He was the owner of Pietro Contracting, where the company performed hauling and heavy street and road construction services.

When he was not working, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, friends and family. He loved the Jersey Shore and going out to eat. Was an avid sports fan and loved Sunday Football but most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Chubby was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Rita R. DiPietro. He is survived by his children, Gia Motto and her husband Vince, Christopher DiPietro, and Joseph DiPietro; his Grandchildren, Marissa Motto, Michael DiPietro, Dillion DiPietro and Sebrina DiPietro. Also Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday September 11th from 8:00-10:00am at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am at St. John Neumann Church 560 Walton Ave, Mt Laurel Township, NJ 08054. Interment is scheduled at 1:30pm at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
