Joseph Patrick Doyle, born on September 21, 1929, peacefully departed this life on February 6, 2026. He was predeceased by his Parents: James P. and Adele and his 8 siblings.

Joseph left a legacy rich in love, faith, and community. Joseph was admired for his kindness and spirited conversations, always willing to lend an ear or share a smile with anyone he encountered. His life was a beautiful tapestry woven with devotion to his faith, family and work.

Joseph was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and took great pride in serving his country. He was a graduate of West Catholic and Drexel University, and his educational achievements underscored a lifelong commitment to learning. He enjoyed a successful career, working at General Electric and Bechtel, where he contributed his talents and hard work for many years.

A devoted husband to Nancy (O’Kane) Doyle, Joseph cherished every moment with her for 68 wonderful years. Together they nurtured a loving family, including their children: Rosemary Farrell (Marty), Annmarie Cooke (Kenny), Meg Cantwell (Eric), Nancy Marie Villas (Peter), and Joseph P. Doyle, Jr. (Patti). Each child carries forward the values instilled by their father, emphasizing the importance of faith and family.

Joseph had a deep love for his grandchildren—Michelle, Meghan, Justine, Marty, Erica, Alexis, Kerry Anne, Colette, Rachel, Angelique, Kaiti, Maura, Kacie Rose, Kirsten, Luke, Mackenzie, Andrew and Matthew. His heart swelled with pride as he embraced his 18 great-grandchildren, who received the warmth of his affection and wisdom.

A faithful member of Good Shepherd Church and later St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Joseph was an active participant in his faith community, embodying the values of compassion and service. His dedication was evident as he was a daily Communicant for many years, drove for Hope, Ushered and participated in Eucharistic Adoration weekly, a testament to his commitment to his beliefs.

Joseph was known for his love of Notre Dame Football, a passion that brought him joy and connection with fellow fans. He enjoyed many happy vacations with his family in Sea Isle City. His philosophy of life was encapsulated in his cherished quote: "You never know when you can brighten someone’s day," a principle he lived out daily through his interactions.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, his children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will honor his memory in the days to come.

A viewing will be held on February 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Donohue Funeral Home in Upper Darby, PA. Following, a Funeral Mass at noon will take place at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment private.
