Joseph "Joe" Charles Ebarb, Jr. was born on October 16, 1956, in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Joseph Charles Ebarb, Sr., and Margie (LaRoux) Meshell. He passed away on March 13, 2025, surrounded by his family in Groveton at the age of sixty-eight after his battle with cancer.
Joseph met the love of his life, Michelle (Lee), while she was working at M & K Pharmacy in Groveton. After Michelle finished work one day, Joe worked up the nerve to ask her out, and they soon started dating. They married on March 6, 1993, and later had their son, Tanner, who was the apple of his father's eye. Joe cherished spending time with Tanner, tinkering on various projects together.
Joe worked in the logging industry until his health would no longer allow him to continue. He loved spending time with his family and traveling to destinations such as Mexico, Belize, and Wolf Creek. He enjoyed family outings, dancing, and cooking, particularly BBQs and crawfish boils. He also loved going on buggy rides with his friends and participating in their annual Javelina and deer hunts.
Joe is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Ebarb, Sr.; his mother, Margie Meshell; his father, JC Meshell; his son, David Wayne Ebarb; his brother, Linky Meshell; and his brother, Jimbo Ebarb.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Michelle Ebarb of Groveton, TX; his son, Tanner Ebarb and fiancé, Gracie, of Conroe, TX; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bennie Lee and Linda (Antley) Lee of Groveton, TX; his sisters-in-law: Sue Ann Meshell of Groveton, TX, and Becky Terpestra and husband, Bubba, of New Waverly, TX; his nephew, Ryan Smith and wife, Logan, of Willis, TX; his nieces: Paige Loughran and husband, Trevor, of San Antonio, TX; Taylor Smith and husband, Cole, of Willis, TX; and Macy Terry and husband, Clay, of Madisonville, TX.
