Joseph "Joe" Michael Falcioni, 87, formerly of Pinecrest Drive, Glocester, RI, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Rosemarie Roderick Falcioni, married for 68 years. Born in Smithfield, Joe was the son of the late Giuseppe and Christine Cancelliere Falcioni.
He is survived by his children Doreen Walker and husband Richard of Dayville, CT, Cheryl Madonna and husband Andrew of Johnston, RI, Joanne Brousseau and fiancé Rocco Carlino of Attleboro, MA, and predeceased by his son Michael Peter Falcioni and his surviving wife Margarita Serrano Costa of Peru. He was the cherished Papa of Erin McBride and fiancé Jakob Racey, Allison Brousseau and fiancé Matthew Demeule, Cara Madonna Manzotti and husband Nico, Joseph Madonna and wife Stephanie, and predeceased by his beloved granddaughter Alana Markowitz and her surviving husband Greg James. Joe was the proud great-grandfather of Harrison McBride, Gian Madonna, Penny McBride, Travy Rose James, Brielle Madonna, and one great-grandchild on the way. Joe is survived by his older sister Mary Mencarini.
Joe proudly worked for over three decades as a linesman for the New England Telephone Company. He was also one of the first police officers on the Glocester Police Department. Even after retirement, Joe enjoyed his role as the Assistant Harbor Master for the Town of Jamestown, coupled with his summers spent in Fort Getty.
Joe's love for adventure and the great outdoors was easy to see and feel. He enjoyed years of hunting excursions, boating and camping in Jamestown, weekends at the Smithfield Sportsmans Club, or just puttering around in the backyard. He shared his love for his hobbies with his kids and grandchildren, who joined alongside him in all the adventures - often breaking a few rules in the process, but all in the name of fun!
Joe will be incredibly missed by his family and friends, and all the lives he touched over the years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 15th at 10am in St. Joseph's Church, Main Street, Scituate.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to HopeHealth of Rhode Island. HopeHealth of Rhode Island

Doreen & the entire family of Joe - it's hard to say goodbye to someone who has been a loving husband, father, grandfather, etc. Joe was a good man who will not be forgotten. He left decades of memories for those whose life he touched, and a large family who loved him dearly. He is released from his physical body, and the bonds of this world, but his spirit will go on forever. In love to you all, Brenda & Carl Johnsen
