Born in Boston, a son of the late Vincent and Irene (Belanger) Ficarra.
Loving husband of Mildred Ficarra of Weymouth.
Father of Todd Ficarra and his partner, Alice Potenza of Braintree, Nicole Ficarra and her husband, Steve Ellis of Hawaii, and Scott Ficarra and his wife, Sarah, of Georgia.
Grandfather of Brittany, Courtney, Olivia, Henry, Ella, and Emerson.
Brother of James Ficarra and his wife, Claire, of Avon, Robert Ficarra of Missouri, Joan Wolfe of Jacksonville, NC, and the late John Ficarra and Rosalie Ficarra.
Joe grew up in South Boston and was a lifelong MA resident. He served in the US Navy and worked as an electrician at MIT for 40+ years. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing and camping with family. Joe loved watching documentaries, reading books about the history of our country and true crime. He was an avid sports fan. A true Bostonion, his favorite teams were the NE Patriot's, the Red Sox, and the Celtics. He also loved watching NASCAR!
Funeral services are private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
