Joseph J. Flatley, on December 31, 2024 age 69, of Maple Shade, NJ. Beloved husband of Mary T. Flatley (nee Donovan). Dear father of James (Ha Ly) Flatley. Loving grandfather of Jude and Liam. Cherished brother of Thomas (Evelyn) Flatley, III, James (Mary Ann) Flatley, Diane (Rolf) Benninghoven and Christine (Jonathan) Rothberg. Dear son of Theresa (the late Lloyd) Orth. Cherished GodFather of Brenna Hedin, Theresa Benninghoven and Maria Brubaker.
Born in Philadelphia Joe was a true 4 for 4 Philly fan especially loving his Eagles and Phillies. Security supervisor for Cooper Hospital and Plaza. Proudly served his country as an MP in the Army. Loved trips to Wildwood and Cape May, watching the Eagles in the nest and listening to the Phillies on the porch, attending or hosting BBQ’s and all celebrations of life and love. Too busy for hobbies always working, being a devoted Dad, husband, brother, uncle, friend, and volunteer at his Church and other organizations within his community. Santa Claus for the Ronald McDonald House in Camden for 20 years bringing joy to all.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to his viewing and funeral on Saturday, January 4th, from 9:30AM to 10:45AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM Saturday. Interment held privately. Arrangements by MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, Maple Shade.
