Joseph Mack "Joe" Folsome

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph "Joe" Mack Folsome, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Joseph peacefully departed this life on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at the age of 74. A resident of Snellville, Georgia, Joseph was born on Monday, July 2nd, 1951, in Wrightsville, Georgia.
Joseph was a dedicated and hard-working supervisor for MARTA, where he spent many years ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. His commitment to his work was surpassed only by his devotion to his family and community. Known for his unwavering support and kind spirit, Joseph touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was a man of faith, actively involved in his church community, and cherished the moments spent with his loved ones. Joseph's warmth, humor, and generosity will forever remain in our hearts.
A visitation will be held at Rainbow Park Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia, on Friday, October 31st, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, providing an opportunity for friends and family to pay their respects.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia, on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at 11:00 am. This will be a time for all who loved Joseph to come together and honor a well-lived life.
A service in Wrightsville will follow on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1 PM at the Community Missionary Baptist Church, 863 James Grove Church Road. Interment will follow in the Folsome Family Cemetery.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and dedication that will inspire all who were fortunate to know him. Though our hearts are heavy, we find solace in the memories we shared and the impact Joseph had on so many lives.
Rest in peace, Joseph Mack Folsome. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
