Long time Wichita businessman, Joseph "Jay" Carter Frick, went home to be with God on August 2, 2023. He was born on August 20, 1946, in Kansas City, and his family moved to Wichita in 1952. He and his family have operated Wichita Welding Supply, Inc since 1956, where they loyally served the welding and metal fabrication community in the south-central Kansas region. He is also survived by his former wife, Donna Lee Frick, and their 3 children, Jef, Brently, and Kristin; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; Jay's sister, Judith, nephew, David, and many beloved friends. Jay was preceded in death by son, Jacob Shelton. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Friday, August 11, at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 10am, Saturday, August 12, at the Cozine Life Events Center. Burial will follow, at 11:30, at Kensington Gardens.
