Joseph “Joey” Galingan Beloved Son, Father, Partner, and Friend 1971 – 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph “Joey” Galingan, who entered into eternal rest on June 20, 2025. Joey passed peacefully, surrounded by love, after a courageous journey through illness.
Born on July 23, 1971, to Julian Galingan† and Elisa Galingan, Joey was a proud Californian known for his quiet strength, loyal heart, and grounding presence. For those who truly knew him, Joey wasn’t just family or a friend, he was a protector, a steady soul, and someone who expressed love more through action than words. In the late 1990s, he transplanted to Las Vegas, where he continued to build his life.
Joey was a father to four children: Jeovonni (Jeo), Noah, Alexandrea Rose (Lexie), and Azariah Joseph (AJ). His path through fatherhood had its complexities, and for a time, his presence wavered. But much like a tree settling into new soil, Joey grew into the role with deeper roots and greater tenderness, especially with his youngest children, who were blessed to experience the softer, more attentive version of his heart, marked by unwavering love and boundless patience.
In recent years, Joey shared his life with his devoted love and partner, Jocelyn, whose love and support were a profound source of comfort and strength to him. Their bond was a reminder that healing, connection, and joy can still be found, even in the most challenging seasons.
Those who knew Joey will remember his dry wit, quiet humor, deep thoughtfulness, and strong sense of loyalty. Whether through music, conversation, or simply his calming presence, he left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to be part of his life.
He is survived by his mother Elisa, his children, his love and partner Jocelyn, and many beloved family members and friends, each carrying his memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Joey’s life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Canyon Ridge Chapel, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89130. All who knew and loved him are welcome to gather in remembrance of him.
Joey, may you be at peace, surrounded by love, as we hold you forever in our hearts.
You are deeply loved. You are dearly missed. You are forever with us.
