Joseph Ganley

Joseph A. Ganley, 89, of Abbey Del Ray Medical Center, Del Ray Beach, FL, was called home by the Eternal Father on July 21, 2025. He was born on January 19, 1936, in Dracut, MA, to Robert S. Ganley and Alice B. Lemieux, of whom he was predeceased, as well as his brother Gerard (Bob) Ganley and most recently, his biological son Michael J. DeProto.
He leaves his daughter Jo-Ann Anderson of East Hampton, CT, 6 grandchildren Danielle Spinali, Nicole Shea, Marisa Anderson, Domenic DeProto, Kristina Kusiak and Joseph Deproto and 6 great-grandchildren Michael Bishop, Tyler Bishop, Katie Smith, Audrina Capestany, Alysia Bishop and Ottavio Spinali, as well as 9 nieces and nephews. Joe graduated from Hartford High and went on to receive a BA from UConn, Storrs CT. He worked for the Dept. of Social Services for 30 years, then went on to pursue his passion, which was the Professional Theatre, acting with the Producing Guild of Hartford and then with the Ivoryton Playhouse, upon retiring to FL., where he was a member of the Ascension Parish of Boca Raton, serving as a Lector.
A graveside service will be held at St. James Cemetery in Manchester, CT on Friday, August 15th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
