Born in Boston, MA, he was the beloved son of Joseph E. Giroux, Sr. and Barbara (Underwood) Giroux.
He was a graduate of the Boston School system and the Wentworth Institute High School class of 1978.
He was a retired electrician, who previously worked at Honeywell Company as an installer.
Joseph was a CB Radio Operator, using the handle "Radio Man". He also held an ULS Amateur License for HAM radio call letters KAIL W-F, enjoyed working on cars and loved animals.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle, sister Rita Giroux of Litchfield Park, AZ, and Barbara Giroux and Warren Smith of Chelmsford, MA, and 2 grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE
Visiting hours Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 11-1 P.M.at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA with a procession to Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA. Memorials may be made in his name to the Salvation Army https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/ways-to-give/

Today was a really nice tribute to Joe! Barbara did a wonderful job putting everything together. Joe is looking down smiling saying thank you everyone R.I.P. my friend I'll miss you forever peace man!

I will miss blasting Joey with 100 watts passing through Dorchester on the South East Expressway. Joey made sitting in traffic bearable with a good QSO,except when I was hungry,and wanting to get home Joey would be talking about his gourmet recipes. That was just plain torture!

Rest in peace my friend.
There is a word used in cb radio and ham radio its "Elmer" it's used to describe someone who helps the new people getting into the hobby of radios. Joey was an Elmer to many people including me.
We will all miss the radioman on the air. 73s my friend.

Joe and I have become great friends we spoke or texted almost daily I will miss him very much! R.I.P. my friend! See you on the other side hope you and Jay are sipping Pina Coladas together peace for now!!
