Joseph “Joey” Gossage, 40, of Jacksonville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January, 28, 2023 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. Joey was born January 7th, 1983, in Rushville, Illinois, the son of Gerald Dean and Karen Mangold Gossage.
Joey is survived by his father, Gerald Dean Gossage, and sisters: Amy (Ronnie) Petrie of Springfield IL and Danielle Kotalik of Loami, Illinois.
Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Mangold Gossage.
Joseph was a graduate of Rushville-Industry High School.
Joey enjoyed playing video games and took lots of pride watching the drag races. Joey was loved by everyone and was a very loving person with a big smile. Joey loved and cherished his nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Joseph will be Thursday, February 2, 2023, between 5:00 and 7:00 PM at Triplett & Wood Funeral Home in Rushville, IL. Burial will be held at a later date.
