TROY - Joseph William Gross, 54, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his home.
Joseph was born on September 25, 1969 in Troy, the son of Frances C. (Snyder) Gross and the late David C. Gross Sr. He was a graduate of Troy High School. He worked as a cook at the Diamond Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Troy before retiring due to his health. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Which recently consisted of fake karate or highly contested games of UNO. Joey was an avid fan of the NY Giants and the Boston Red Sox. Often referred to as a good guy, he was always kind to others.
In addition to his loving mother, Fran; Joseph is survived by his brother, David C. (Lesley) Gross Jr.; his sister, Amy M. (Walter) Rockenstire; his nephews and nieces, Teaghan Rockenstire, Logan Rockenstire, Penelope Gross, and Conrad Gross; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. A service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m.
