We lived across the street from Joe and Violet for 6 years in the 80´s. We had 2 teenagers. My husband was a graduate student at IU. I was an RN working in Indianapolis. Joe was a big hearted friend of my whole family. My son has many memories working with and being with Joe. He came to my rescue many times when I had problems at my house. My husband rode a bicycle to IU. Joe kept the bicycle running. Joe and Violet were a pair of the best neighbors I have ever had. Thank you for being there for me and my family.

My family moved in across the street from Joe and Violet when I was 12 years old. I hung out with him as often as I could! Such a nice guy and friend. I loved riding with him to TrueValue to pickup and return lawnmowers and chainsaws and small engines, or anywhere else. When he fell off the ladder and was on crutches, I was there to help him. He built my first lawnmower, a 25" Frankenstein mower, that I then went around Marlin Hills to mow yards with. So many good memories of such a great man! You will be missed! Love you, Joe.

My deepest sympathy to my Cousin Danny, and his family. Uncle Joe, I´ll miss our long phone conversations, that we would have. Uncle Joe, rest in peace, you´re with Aunt Violet, and all the family now. Love you!
