Timothy Howard Sears

Timothy Howard Sears, age 67, passed away peacefully at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer IN, on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He was born in Bloomington IN, on March 18, 1958, to Roy Sears and Delia Gibbs. Timothy is a graduate of Edgewood High School and served our country by enlisting in the United States Marines in his youth. Tim also worked at Cook Inc. for 24 years. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Dawn (Christopher) Deckard; his granddaughter who he affectionally called his "little doodle", Morgan Marie Sears and grandchildren, Nevaeh Deckard, Logan Deckard, and Cutler Deckard; his brothers, Scott (Carrie) Sears and Buddy (Becky) Gibbs; his former spouse, Debbie Deckard; and many nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his beloved older brother, Dennis Sears; fathers, Roy Sears and Wendell "Bud" Gibbs; mother, Delia Gibbs; and grandmother, Maggie Koontz. In life, Tim loved football, motorcycles, lifting weights, and gardening. A visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home (4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, IN 47401) on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 11-1pm and a funeral service at 1pm. Burial with military honors will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery.
