Joseph Helstoski Obituary
It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Joseph Anthony Helstowski of Bayville. He passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30th at the age of 56.
He is predeceased by his mother Maria Helstowski and sister Shannon Helstowski. Joey is survived by his loving father John (Butch) Helstowski and grandmother Natalie Fernandes. Also surviving are his two brothers John Helstowski (Kathleen Helstowski), Dean Helstowski (Sheila Helstowski), Nephews Justin, Dean and Jared Helstowski. His niece/goddaughter Alyssa McLafferty (husband Michael McLafferty) and great nieces Kaia and Shay McLafferty along with many loving family members and friends. Joey had countless memorable traits including his skill for drumming, sports (especially football, he was quite the athlete), love of rock and roll music, hanging with his Sylvan Lakes gang and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a Rutgers alumni where he majored in environmental science. Joey worked many years for Hydroscience and the Township of Berkeley. He was loved by his family and will dearly be missed. Joey H. will forever be in our hearts.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 3pm-6pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be dedicated in Joe's name to the American diabetes foundation.
