Joseph Higgins Obituary
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Joe proudly served his country in the US Army. During his enlisted time in the Army, he rose to the rank of Executive Chef. Following his Honorable Discharge, he began his lifelong career in Organized Labor. Joe retired as a member of the Wharf and Dockbuilders Local 454. He was a huge animal lover.
Beloved husband of Susan G. (nee Kobylinski); loving father of Brian (Lisa); devoted grandfather of Hannah (Georgio), Abigail (Danny) and Joey Higgins. Joseph will also be deeply missed by his sisters, Peg (the late Bob) Florek, Joanne (Ron) Martin and many nieces and nephews. Donations in Joe's name, may be made to the Salvation Army, www.salvationarmyusa.org or to the SPCA, www.pspca.org.
