Joseph A. Hommer

Hommer, Joseph A. Muskegon Mr. Joseph Alvin Hommer, age 82, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 in North Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on September 9, 1939 to C. Charles and Ulec (Nevins) Hommer Sr. Joe graduated from Muskegon Catholic High School, class of 1957. He went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961. He was the owner of MAH, Inc. for 48 years prior to his retirement. Joe was a lifelong member of St. Mary the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed the beach, playing on his computer, and was an avid Michigan State fan. On August 3, 1963, Joe married the former Mary Ann Powers in Muskegon and she survives him along with his sister, Patricia Strobel; several nieces and nephews; and Mary's family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, C. Charles Hommer Jr. and William Hommer. SERVICES for Joe will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Chapel (1915 Park St., Muskegon, MI 49441) with Fr. Kyle Kilpatrick presiding.
