Joseph was born on May 21, 1932 and passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019. He grew up in Taylors, S.C. and graduated from Taylors High School in 1950. He graduated from Furman University in 1954, the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1956 and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N.C. in 1964. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 17 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen officiating. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Newberry.
