It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Joseph Janda. He passed away August 30th, 2023 at Pathstone Living with his family by his side. He was 88 years old.
Joe was born September 28, 1934 in Wells, Minnesota. Joe went to Franklin Jr High School and Mankato High School. He played football, where he was co-captain in his senior year. He married DeAnn Sass and together they had 5 children, Joni (David) Parrish, Annette (Doug) Watkins, Jill Janda, Karen (Dave) Dalmann and Jim (Rita) Janda. Joe was employed by MCTC until his retirement 40 years later. One of Joes favorite hobbies was wood carving. He created many intricate wildlife pieces. He enjoyed all Minnesota sports teams and loved to gamble on the 7’s slot machine at the casino.
