Dolores Erna Janda

Dolores Erna Janda, 93, passed away in Palm Springs, California, on December 27, 2025. She was born January 9, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Paul H. Bracker and Erma Bracker (nee Laue).
Dolores was a graduate of Steinmetz High School. She married Edward S. Janda in August of 1956, and together they raised their three sons, Dale, Wayne and Neil. She loved Elvis Presley, country music and dancing – especially, square dancing and clogging. When she could, Dolores loved to travel anywhere from Germany to Mexico, within the United States, and to her favorite vacation spot, Hawaii. Above all she loved her family. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her two sons, Dale S. Janda and Wayne E. Janda; grandchildren, Michael (Kelli), Matthew (Ann) and Stephanie; great grandsons, Jayden and Mason; nephew, Charles S. (Sue) Bracker; nieces, Lynne East (Janda), Sandy Gricus (Widerborg) and Katherine Widerborg; and great nieces and nephews, Nicholas Charles, Courtney Ann, Liana Catherine and Lisa Marie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her son, Neil; nephews, Daniel Bracker and Laddie Janda; and niece, Lori Fiscus (Janda).
A visitation will be held from 1 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 North York Street, Elmhurst, and again on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. all at the funeral home. Interment at Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace.
