William Herrmann Aulich Jr., a cherished family man and respected veteran, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Born on February 20, 1947, in Elmhurst, Illinois, William's life was marked by his unwavering kindness, courage, and love.

No services are scheduled at this time, all cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.

William was a man of deep Christian faith. He dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country as a Mess Management Specialist in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. His time on aircraft carriers not only showcased his commitment to his nation but also ignited his passion for cooking, a skill he would cherish and share with others throughout his life.

After proudly serving his country, William pursued further education, earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northwood Institute. His academic achievements were a testament to his belief in lifelong learning and personal development.

A man of many interests, William was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite and a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Disabled American Veteran, and Eastern Star. His love for motorcycle racing reflected his adventurous spirit, while his culinary talents revealed a man who took joy in the simple pleasures of life.

William's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his sons, William Herrmann Aulich III of Rush Springs and Michael Christopher Aulich of Wichita Falls; his daughter, Mary Katherine Aulich-Paddlety and her husband Milton of Chickasha; his adored grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and his sister, Elizabeth Amy Coughlin and her husband Dan of Manchester, New Hampshire. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Adelaide Yvonne (Emery) Aulich; his brother, Richard Edward Aulich; and his parents, William Herrmann Sr. and Mary Ann (Meuse) Aulich.

William Herrmann Aulich lived a life that exemplified what it means to be loving, courageous, and kind. All who knew him will treasure his memory, and his influence will continue to be felt by the many lives he touched.
