Joseph Jelen Obituary
Joseph G. Jelen, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 6th 2024. Resident of Stickney, IL, born and raised in Wauconda, IL. Joe lived a life filled with passion, joy, and dedication.Joe is survived by his children, Jeffrey Steven (Lauren) Jelen, Jacklyn Elizabeth (Cristian Agbayani) Jelen, part-time son Patrick Mazcko (Patsy Man) and granddaughter, Jesse Julie Jelen. He was preceded in death by his Father, Marion Jelen, Brother, Steven Jelen and Sister, Julie (Rich) Aadland. His mother Mary Ann (Feliryn) Jelen remains in our hearts and thoughts during this difficult time.Joe retired from the Chicago Transit Authority, where he worked as a training specialist, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. In his retirement, Joe found solace and happiness in his many interests. He was an avid listener of music, a talented guitarist, and an enthusiastic fisherman. His love for the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Blackhawks was well-known, and he remained a die-hard fan throughout his life.Joe's warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of those who knew him. He will be remembered fondly for his infectious laugh his unwavering support, and his deep love for his family.
