Joseph Jennette Obituary
A native of Norfolk, VA until he moved with his daughter during his later years in Maryland.
Joe served his country during the Vietnam War and returned home to Norfolk after his time of service.
He was a minister of Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church in Norfolk, VA for over 16 years, where he was a devoted member and officiant.
Joe loved to participate in community activities that help those in need.
He is one of fourteen children of the late Charles Leroy Jennette and Ida Boone Jennette of Norfolk, VA.
He is survived by his children Greyling Douglas, Reggie Douglas, Shanée Jennette Meeks (Detrick Meeks) and Sherrie Jennette. His siblings and their spouses are Alcenia B. Whitaker, Leroy Jennette (deceased), Chester (Connie) Jennette, Willie (Barbara) Jennette, James (Ellen)Jennette, Carlton (Amanda) Jennette, Jones(Dawn) Jennette, Rudolph Jennette, William (Linda)Jennette, Thomas Jennette, Mary Davis, Blanche Jennette and Gale Jennette(deceased). Joe will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm located at:
Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness Church located at 1100 Wall Street, Norfolk, VA 23504. Repast to follow service.
Joseph Jennette final resting place will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
