Joseph "Joe" Frederick Charles Laucirica
October 13, 1978 ~ July 9, 2022
Joseph "Joe" Frederick Charles Laucirica, 43, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 in Layton, UT. He was born at St. Benedicts Hospital in Ogden, Utah on October 13, 1978, the son of Joseph Frederick Laucirica and Michele Marie Jensen Laucirica Charlesworth.
Joe attended St. Joseph High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Weber State University along with numerous advanced certifications. He was an HVAC Specialist with multiple federal and state certifications, received his CDL, farmer and always a lifelong learner.
Joe loved enjoying life with friends. When he was younger he played on numerous teams; baseball, basketball and was an awesome soccer player in high school. Friends still talk about playing hacky sack stinger.
The Outdoors was his sanctuary where he enjoyed fishing, camping, skiing, and snowboarding. A great bowler he never turned down the chance to go with friends or family. The absolute amazing knowledge and brilliance he brought to the job inspired and changed everyone around him.
A man like Joe is a rare find. He was a Great man among men. He truly exemplified walking like Christ. He has a deep love of his Lord and Savior. A quiet man with an inner strength that fills the room. When you think of Joe, you think of kindness and love. He selflessly helped anyone who had a need with absolutely no expectation in return. If he saw a struggle or need, Joe showed up with the solution and resolved it without asking. It is impossible to know the magnitude of lives he touched and eased their burdens with a pure heart. He always surrounded himself with happiness and positivity.
His movie collection is filled with Comedies, Westerns, Disney, Pixar, Muppets, ALF, Christmas, Faith, Redemption, and Hope. He loved and is loved by animals of all kinds, especially the lost and strays who sought his presence. Joe had a quiet but powerful strength of character. Words are not necessary to show how much he cared. A peacemaker of pure goodness and love. A rare and wonderful caring Brother, Son and Genuine Friend. Few people ever experience the pure love he gave and showed every day.
It is just not enough to say He Will Be Missed... The World will Never Be the Same without him to Grace Our Lives with his Presence.
He is survived by his mother, Michele Charlesworth, Layton, UT; Step-father, Hal Charlesworth, Ogden, UT; brothers, Joshua Laucirica, Colorado, Weston (Lindsay) Charlesworth, Ogden, UT; sister, Amber Bowman, Alaska and many relatives on his step-father’s side.
Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Frederick Laucirica; grandparents, Fred and Jean Laucirica, Joseph and Bess Jensen and Earl and Norma Charlesworth.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.
