He loved playing golf and was a passionate fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers.
Joey loved playing Dungeons and Dragons and Fantasy Football with his friends, and he loved watching scary movies. Joey had a particular fondness for fried chicken and Wawa smoothies.
