Born January 17, 1948, in Denham Springs, LA, Joseph passed away in Hammond, LA on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the age of 76. Joseph worked and retired from St. Amant Gas Company. He also served with the Sorrento Police Department and had a brief career in pipefitting. Joseph loved spending time with his family and friends, tending to his garden and chickens, fishing and going to the hunting camp. He was a kind person, who was always positive and never complained. Jospeh will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lillian Ann LeJeune; children, Jody LeJeune (Heather), Donnie LeJeune (Jodi), Delsie Wright (Nain); grandchildren, Damesus LeJeune, Jayza LeJeune, Jade LeJeune, Taylor Bessinger, Joseph LeJeune, Evan LeJeune; 3 great grandchildren, Aunt, Marie and Uncle, Mike Ballard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Ernestine Ballard LeJeune.

The family would like to thank Oasis Point Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and care during Joseph’s time of need.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Church of Sorrento, LA from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales.
