Joseph James LeViness, age 29, of Browns Mills, NJ, passed away after fighting a rare lifelong illness on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family.

Joe has been a resident of Browns Mills his entire life and worked as an OPFOR military contractor for many years. He was also a volunteer for the local fire department and fire police. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, going to the movies, and playing billiards in his free time. He was also a wonderful painter and cook. He loved to collect coins and military antiques, but above all else, Joe loved spending time with his wife and their two children. He would often take his son fishing, and his daughter to the aquarium and zoo, as well as many other trips, making many memories with them.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, together 13 years, Danyela J. LeViness (nee Brown); cherished parents, James F. and Susanne LeViness; adoring children, Joseph J. LeViness, Jr. and Evelyn I. LeViness; loving siblings, James F. LeViness, Jr. (Michelle), Lars Stegner, and Marcel Stegner (Sheri). Also surviving him are his niece and nephews, Lars Stegner, Jr., Isabel Stegner, Trey LeViness, and Austin LeViness; and his great-niece Cora LeViness. Joe is predeceased by his brother, Scott J. LeViness.

Relatives and friends are welcome to his viewing on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 5:00-7:00PM at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. His funeral mass will be the following morning, Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:00AM at St. Ann's Church, 22 Trenton Rd, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
