Joseph J. Loss

Joseph J. Loss, age 76, a resident of Lisle, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was born August 23, 1949 in Bellwood, Illinois to Edward & Caroline Loss.

Joseph grew up in Melrose Park, Illinois, and carried the strong values of family, friendships, and hard work with him throughout his life. He attended Illinois State University, where he was a proud founding member of the Theta Rho chapter of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, and graduated before pursuing his Juris Doctor at Northern Illinois University College of Law. A dedicated and respected legal mind, he served as a senior partner at his law firm for over 35 years. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Joseph was a man of deep faith, known for his love of reading-especially his Bible-traveling the world with his family, enjoying a fine cigar (or two), and sampling great food. Whether on the golf course or at the dinner table, his presence was warm, thoughtful, and always full of life. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, who were the center of his world.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Heather; his three children Joey, Carly & Luke; his five siblings as well as nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held at on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Gospelife Church, 1N100 Gary Ave., Carol Stream, Illinois 60188, where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
