I only this moment heard of the passing of my cousin, Dr. Joe. I wanted to express my condolences to his family and to express regret that we were never able to meet. I found Dr. Joe as a result of doing research on my O'Connor family. Joe's grandmother, Mary O'Connor was my great grandaunt. His grandfather Patrick actually married two women of the same name and Joe grew up thinking that the Mary O'Connor whom he knew was his grandmother but she was the second wife and not Joe's grandmother. We corresponded for several years and I always held out hope that we might find the time for a visit someday. More's the pity. May Joe rest in peace and may his family find comfort in the memories which they shared.
