Joseph R. Micucci, 93, of Gorham, NH passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 31, 2025 . He was born in Gorham, NH on April 22, 1931 and was the last surviving son of Tito and Philomena (Toppi) Micucci. A lifelong resident of the area, Joe was a passionate entrepreneur. Prior to going opening the businesses at 101, Joe served as a medic in the US Navy and managed the Resichem department for Brown Company. He had served as a director on the Home Bank Board, as well on the Board of Directors of the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. Joe loved his family and his devotion to his grandchildren was epic. You could find Joe swimming at the Royalty Health Club every morning at 5am. In his younger days, he was a master of the polker game. As a lover of a bet, he ran the Mt. Washington Hill Climb at age 65 on a bet with his son. Joe’s favorite pastime was taking his grandchildren out to breakfast, and he would think nothing of driving several hours to take his granddaughter and her college friends out to lunch. He will be deeply missed.

Members of the family include his daughter Elizabeth Micucci Jackson and her husband Stephen of Gorham; their children Teo, Ari and Ava ; daughter-in-law Sally Micucci, her two children, John and Isobel Micucci; two great grandchildren Sage and Arlo Jackson; a sister Lillian Fortier of Berlin; many extended family. He was predeceased by his wife Jean (Welsh) Micucci and his son Michael Micucci.

His family is extremely appreciative to North Country Home Health Care and In Your Home Care for the compassionate and professional care he received in his last days.

SERVICES: A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a date and time to be announced. In his memory, Joe would appreciate it if folks would send flowers to someone they love or donations may be made to the North Country Home Health and Hospice Services. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Homes. Online guestbook at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
