Joseph Lawrence Miorelli, age 98, of Collier Township passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Joseph (Joe) was born on December 26, 1926 in Carnegie, PA, son of the late Attilio and Mary. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by loving wife, Palmira, his daughter, Arlene Greer, brothers Angelo (Thelma) and Arthur (survived by Edith) and sister Elizabeth Turissini (Robert). Joe, a devoted and loving father, is survived by sons Lawrence (Late Maryann) and James (Karen), and daughters Karen Duffy (Mark) and Joyce Lupia (Christopher) in addition to grandchildren Dennis Ovesney (Tina), Gina Ovesney, Brianne Raccor (Matthew), Lauren Seeger (Mike), Bryan Duffy (Elizabeth), Sarah Nelmes (Andrew), Brenden Duffy (Alexia), James Lupia (Sarah), Daniel Lupia, Marie Lupia, Joseph Miorelli, Michael Miorelli, and many great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.

Joe loved working on the family farm during his youth and enjoyed working for his father's plastering business. He served as a Motor Machinist Ship's Mate – 3rd Class in the United States Navy during WWII. After his discharge, he held several jobs until he and his brother Arthur formed Miorelli Brothers Construction. Later, Joe formed the Miorelli & Sons Contracting and Remodeling Company. Maybe you own a home plastered, built or remodeled by a Miorelli! He was active for many years at St. Barbara Church where he participated on the Church Council and ran bingo with Arthur. He also served on the Collier Township Planning Commission and was a member of the Oakdale American Legion Post #0171. Joe enjoyed working with his hands and in his later years was employed in maintenance at Merck and as a groundskeeper at Nevillewood Country Club.

Family and friends received on Monday, September 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at Bagnato Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Jefferson St., Carnegie (412) 276-3964. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, September 9, at Corpus Christi Parish (St. Barbara) 45 Prestley Rd, Bridgeville.
