Janet, I was so very deeply saddened and surprised to just now learn of Joe's passing. I couldn't believe it at first. Joe was truly more than one in a million and I echo all the wonderful heartfelt accolades so well stated here that I can only add that it was an honor and privilege to know Joe. I will never forget the fabulous Italian gathering with all your N J relatives Utami and I attended way back when which I will treasure always. I was greatly comforted to know that Joe was going to be Utami's anesthesiologist at AGMC when she had her surgery and at the time of administering the anesthesia he leaned over to me and said, "Jim, there will be no bill for the anesthesia". I never knew anyone, except for my dear Dad, that was more intelligent kind, caring and loving than Joe. He will be greatly missed buy all that knew him or knew of him.

It was a pleasure and privilege to know and work with Joe during my years of employment with Anesthesiology Associates of Akron. I will never forget him and his kindnesses to me. I can still hear his voice calling me down the hall...."RT!....A"....his own unique joke followed by his laugh which always made me smile. My sincere condolences to Jan, Michael, Jaclyn and family! I had the pleasure of working with Joe for ten years at Akron general. He was so bright funny compassionate and caring!! Some of my standout memories include him and the situations we faced! If stuff was hitting the fan he was one that you wanted to come running!! Not only was he a talented physician but he also was a great listener ! He never forgot about things that were important in your life. The complete joy that he displayed when he shared stories of his wife and children made you want to know them! He will be missed but never forgotten. Such a big spirit. Godspeed Joe and my deepest sympathies to his wonderful family.

While we do not know Joe personally, we do know his daughter Jaclyn. If he was anything like her we are certain he was an amazing person. Our condolences are with all his family and friends that he has impacted immensely throughout his life.

We all have so many Wonderful memories of time spent with Joe. He was so kind, smart and witty. I feel so lucky to have him in my life for 20 years. Dr. Joe Mure was without a doubt, one of the kindest people I have ever known. He lit up every room he walked in and was always the life of every party. He was an amazing physician, husband, father, and friend. Gone too soon but I can guarantee he will never be forgotten.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Mure family upon the death of Joseph. Although I did not know him personally, I did have the distinct pleasure and honor to have taught his children at Hoban in chemistry. They were both excellent and highly motivated students, and represented what was the best at Hoban. May the good Lord continue to bless and console your family during this difficult time.

Joe is not only one of the smartest people I have met, he is one of the nicest I have the pleasure knowing. Years ago I had the pleasure of being his doctor of sorts for comfort medicine, and introduced him to the Schivitz. His family knows exactly what I am talking about. Full treatment consisted of a steam bath and great steak with garlic! We became friends ever since. Such an honor to know Joe. Truly one of G-D's special creations. I will always speak of him in the present terms, because he is locked into my mind and heart. And, a good thing like that you NEVER let go. All our blessings and love to the Mure family. I was so saddened to learn today of Joe's passing. He was a friend and a truly outstanding physician. He was caring compassionate and wise. He was my physician several times when I needed surgery and his expertise was without question but his kindness was immense. We played golf and laughed. There is not enough that I could say about him. He was a true gentleman and was loved by all who knew him. He will truly be missed. My sincerest sympathy to his wife Jan and his family

I was heart broken to see in today's Akron Beacon the passing of this wonderful, caring, compassionate man I met only as a patient at an ophthalmology practice. He always talked so compassionately of his dear family and what joy he had when he was going to be with his children. He also always asked about my family even though we only knew each other at the office. Not working there anymore, I missed any updated news on his health. I was devastated to get this news, and my heart and prayers go to this dear family I got to know through him. Not many people you meet in life leave such a dear impression on you of someone so genuine in truly having a heart for people. My deepest sympathy to you all. In my thoughts and prayers,
