Joseph Ignacio Murillo, a radiant spirit born on July 28, 1986, in California, passed away on December 18, 2025, in San Bernardino County, leaving behind a tapestry of cherished memories and an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Joseph was a man of many talents and passions, dedicating eight years of his life to White Wave Foods, where he immersed himself in his work with conviction and enthusiasm. Throughout his career, he tackled various jobs, yet it was his vibrant personality that truly shone through. Known for his charismatic charm and unwavering confidence, Joseph was someone who could captivate anyone with his words-he could sell ice to an Eskimo. His big heart and generous nature made him selfless in all he did, whether it was cheering on his children from the sidelines or sharing laughter and joy with friends.
Memories of Joseph are painted vividly, from the heartwarming image of him being the loudest cheerleader for his kids to the moments spent grilling in the backyard or laughing alongside with his friends during 49er games at Buffalo Wild Wings. He was a devoted and loving husband to Lydia Villavicencio, fiercely proud of their three children: Joseph Isaiah, Jayleen Elizabeth, and Jacob Michael. He often spoke of them as his greatest accomplishments, his pride shining through as he shared stories about their triumphs academically and on and off the field.
Joseph's interests were as varied as his personality. As he loved to dance and some say he was even better than his brother Kevin. Joseph loved to sit down on the couch with his beloved best friend Lola, put on YouTube and open up a beer, or he was enjoying life's simple pleasures like playing fetch with his beloved dog Lola and or being a cool uncle to his nephew Kaiden (Lil foo) Murillo. An avid football fan and a skilled poker player, Joseph balanced work and play with a zest for life that drew people to him effortlessly. His humor was infectious, his sense of adventure unwavering-he had an uncanny knack for finding random animals, and his laughter filled every space he entered.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia, his treasured children, Joseph, Jaylene, and Jacob, and a close-knit family that includes his mother Maria Leticia Murillo, father Jose Murillo, brother Kevin Murillo, sister Crystal Jaramillo, nephew Anthony Murillo Ortiz, and his devoted canine companion, Lola. Together, they stand united in a deep love that will help carry them through this heartbreaking loss.
Though Joseph has departed this world, he is welcomed into the embrace of those who have gone before him-his grandfather Juan Murillo, grandmother Maria Berna (LaVerne) Murillo, cousin Edward (Lalo) Murillo, George (Uncle Buck) Medina, and grandfather Ignacio (Nacho) Medina. In their company, he leaves this earthly life, forever cherished and deeply missed.
Joseph Ignacio Murillo was a great guy, a relentless worker, and a lover of life. His spirit will undoubtedly continue to inspire those who loved him, as they carry him with them in every cheer for his kids, in every dance under the stars, and in every shared laughter among friends.
