JOSEPH "Joe" MUSUMECI, 93, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at home. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided there prior to settling in Jackson Twp. for 24 years.

Joseph was a proud United States Veteran serving in the Air Force and earning the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was employed as a sanitation worker for the New York City Department of Sanitation prior to his retirement.

Joseph was a member of the Italian American Club at WestLake Country Club. He was an avid card player, a diehard Yankee fan and loved the slots in Atlantic City.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Sara Musumeci; and by his wife, Sara in 2016. Joseph is survived by his daughters, Marie Musumeci and JoAnn Van Alstyne and her husband, Steve; and by his grandson, Ryan VanAlstyne.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4-8 PM on

Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9 AM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, 549 Rt. 520, Marlboro, NJ.
