Joseph Francis Paoletti, 91, lifetime resident of Newton, Ma passed away on October 14, 2025.

Joseph and his beloved wife of 69 years, Jeanette, spent many years of their retirement travelling, finding numerous opportunities to visit Las Vegas and gamble at the quarter slots. When home, his time was spent tending to his garden, spending afternoons sitting under the grapevine and watching his beloved Patriots, Red Sox or Bruins depending on the season.

Joseph loved to play jokes on everyone, always finding a way to get a laugh from family, friends and neighbors alike. With his family, he was known for taking too many photos and breaking out his video camera to capture the moments.

As his family grew with the arrival of grandchildren, he found opportunities to expand their love of literature by bringing them to the library and always finding the best books at the library swap. When great-grandchildren arrived, he and Jeanette would fight over who got to hold the baby first.

Joseph is survived by his wife, three children, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren who will all miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, Joe's family encourages donations in his honor to either: The Mass/R.I. Make A Wish Foundation or The Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association or The Massachusetts Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association
