Joseph A. Paul

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Andrew Paul, age 77 of Mahopac, New York on October 14, 2023. Joseph was born on May 2, 1946 in Mount Vernon, New York; son of the late Joseph and Johanna (Chekits) Paul. He married the love of his life, Linda A. Corte on September 14, 1968 at the Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx and they were blessed with three wonderful daughters.
Joseph was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a quiet, kind and gentle soul who would do anything for anyone. His greatest treasure was his family who he loved spending time with, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Linda of 55 years, his dear children, Jennifer (Joe) LoPiccolo, Christina (Don) Yerks and Caroline (Kevin) Langtry as well as his 6 beloved grandchildren. Jenna, Diana, Nicholas, Luke, Zack and Violet. His sisters, Joanne Santangelo and Barbara Kickliter. Joseph is predeceased by his brother Alfred Paul.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19th from 4-6PM at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, in Mahopac, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Joseph's life will take place on Friday, October 20th at 10AM at St. John The Evangelist Church, also in Mahopac.
Immediately following the Mass, Joe will be escorted to his final resting place at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his wife Linda's name.
