Joseph Anthony Pizzuto Sr., 102, of Texas City, Texas, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at The Shoal Nursing Home in Texas City.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2023, followed with a Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral home in Texas City.
Joseph was born January 3, 1921, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was employed with Chiquita Banana for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel, and mother, Josephine Bonura Pizzuto; his two sisters, Mary Capagnano and Pauline Palumbo; his first wife, Bernice Robino Pizzuto; second wife of 53 years, Mary Davis Pizzuto; his two sons, Alfred Pizzuto and Ronald Blackburn; and his two grandsons, Joseph Blackburn and Tyler Moore.
Survivors include sons, Joseph Jr. (Irma) Pizzuto and Samuel (Lucille) Pizzuto; daughter in laws, Kay Pizzuto and Donzelle Blackburn; daughter, Linda (Dennis) Quebe; son, Paul (Sandra) Blackburn; grandsons, Michael Pizzuto, Chris Pizzuto, Alfred Pizzuto, Tavish Thomas, Dennis Quebe, Jr. Willam Hoch and Garrett Blackburn; granddaughter's, JoAnn Smith, Regina Wales, Holly South, Vicki Farris; 36 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Joseph Jr. Pizzuto, Samuel Pizzuto, Paul Blackburn, Dennis Quebe, Dennis Quebe Jr., and Tavish Thomas.
