Joseph Franklin Price, 82, of Carlisle, Kentucky passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 at his residence.
He was born May 30, 1941 in Nicholas County, Kentucky to the late Joseph Vernon Price and Emma Lou Wasson Price.
Joseph retired from the city of Carlisle after over twenty years of service. He was also a farmer and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department and also a member of the Millersburg Harvest Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Lou Bowles Price and his second wife, Helen Watkins Price; one daughter, Paula Ruth Price; four brothers, William "Bill" Price, Clarence "Jube" Price, T.C. Price and Perry Price; five sisters, Margaret Elfsass, Ruby Fryman, Ruth Stevens, Myrtle Earlywine and Dorothy Warmouth;
Survivors include two sons, Mark Price and wife Mollie of Carlisle, Ernest Price and wife Suzie of Mt. Olivet, Kentucky; two daughters, Elizabeth Walker and husband Kevin and Virgie Trussell and husband Allie both of Carlisle; nineteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Gary Stith officiating.
Joseph will be laid to rest in the Sunnyside Cemtery at Mt. Tabor.
Visitation is after 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be D.J. Watkins, Ernie Price Jr., Mitch Hunt, Johnny Jolly, Michael Trussell, Joe Burden, Brandon Northcutt and Jay Workman.
