Joseph Read Obituary
Joe shared a loving marriage with his wife, Cheryl, who preceded him in death. He leaves behind his family of sisters Judy Greene, (Monroe), Nancy Smith, (Michael), Mary Louis Read, and his brother Russ Read, (Terri), his stepchildren Jamie Harris, Denise Knight, (Bryan) and Jeffrey Cornwell, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-children, along with many nieces and nephews and friends, who will miss him greatly.
It must be noted - Joe was a whiz at fixing cars. Having a wandering spirit, Joe lived in various places throughout his life – Kentucky, Colorado and Florida, and he traveled the country visiting friends. But he always returned home to the Louisville area. He spent his final years in Jeffersonville, IN.
Per Joe's request he will be cremated and a memorial service and burial will be scheduled at a later date.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses, who cared for him with dedication, and Hospice for their gentle guidance and kindness.
