Mary Pauline Sullivan

Mary Pauline Sullivan, 97, of New Albany, Indiana, left this world bound for her heavenly home with Jesus on February 11, 2026. Born on February 7, 1929, in Scott County, Indiana.

Pauline was a woman defined by her deep Christian faith and belonged to First Southern Baptist Church. She was a mother to many, and they opened their home to young boys in need and helped them build their future. Her love was demonstrated by her caring for others. She loved to cook and feed anyone; she would not take no for an answer. She loved square dancing, outdoors, and camping.

She was a licensed beautician, a seamstress, and caregiver using her hands and her heart to care for others throughout her life.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, William R. & Elma E. Emery; husband, Kermit G. Sullivan; son, Kenneth G Sullivan; grandson, Scott Powers, and her sisters, Thelma Emery; Katherine Elder; Jane Woodruff; and brother Charles Emery.

Survived by three children; Diana (David) Tagliarino, April (Brad) Forbis, Steven (Jackie) Sullivan. Three grandchildren; Abigail (Barry), Glenn (Chandra) and Alan (Heather). Five great-grandchildren: Kaydon, Carsen, Evan, Sadie and Theodore. And many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery located in Carr, IN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 4-7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service both at the Funeral Home.
