Joseph A. Rietscha

Joseph A. Rietscha, 73, of Wrightsville, PA., died on November 8, 2025 at home. He was the loving husband of Yvonne (Shaffer) Rietscha.
He was born on July 22, 1952, in Spangler, PA, and was the son of Wilford and Rita (Rieger) Rietscha. He is preceded in death by parents; his sister Bonnie Sowers; and his brother Patrick Rietscha. In addition to his wife Yvonne, Joe is survived by his children Kim Good of Wrightsville, PA, Erik Rietscha and wife Kristina (Baum) of York, David Rietscha and wife Holly (Smith) of Downingtown; his seven grandchildren; and his 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his son-in-law Mike Good of Mount Wolf.
Joe was a coal miner at Barnes & Tucker #20 in Carrolltown, PA for 16 years, then relocated his family to Lancaster, PA, and then to later Wrightsville, PA where he worked for the next 33 years at ASC Engineered Solutions as a Master Millwright, before retiring in 2021.
Joe enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and shooting clay birds. He took his dog, Buddy, everywhere he could, including taking him on numerous rides every day.
The family services are being held under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. of East York and will be announced at a later date.
