Joseph Rizzo

Joseph Rizzo, 93, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on December 26, 2024. Born and raised in Manhattan, New York, Joe later made his home in New Jersey before retiring in Florida. He proudly served his country as a Navy veteran.
After retiring, Joe lived in Florida for over 30 years. He was an incredible husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Joe was an exceptional baseball player who played until he was 90. He taught his children and grandchildren the game. Joe was a Dodgers fan until they left for California, then became a Met fan. We learned everything about baseball from Joe. In addition to baseball, he loved to dance, sing, cook, and go on cruises. Joe enjoyed life.
Joe is predeceased by his first wife, Arlene, and leaves behind his second wife, Constance Rizzo. He will be sorely missed by his immediate family: brother, Vinny Rizzo; children, Joanne Condito, Joe and Angela Rizzo, Donna and Rich Eaves, Debra Rizzo, Joe and Glenda Ashkin, Rachel and Michael Cooke; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Toni, Rich, Gina, Jamie, Griffin (Lauren) Ashkin, Joey (Christina) Ashkin, Jase Ashkin, Logan Cooke, Chase Cooke, Sophia Cooke and his great-grandchildren, Molly, Adam, Natalie, Joseph, Victoria, Lou, Lydia, (Mia, Theo and Joey Jr. Ashkin).
